Product name:
Cyclohexanone
CAS: 108-94-1
Molecular formula: C6H10O
Relative density: 0.947 g/mL at 25 °C(lit. )
Physical and chemical properties: colorless liquids
Purpose: Cyclohexanone is an important chemical material and is the main
intermediate in the manufacture of nylon, caprolactam and adipic acid. It is
also an important industrial solvent, such as for paints, especially those
containing nitrocellulose, vinyl chloride polymers and their copolymers or
methyl acrylate polymer paints. Good solvent for organophosphorus pesticides
and many similar pesticides, used as a solvent for dyes, as a viscous solvent
for piston aviation lubricants, a solvent for grease, wax, and rubber. It is
also used as a homogenizer for dyeing and mellowing silk, polishing metal skim
agents, wood coloring paint, and using cyclohexanone defilement,
decontamination, and speckle. Cyclohexanone and cyanoacetic acid are condensed
to obtain cyclohexene cyanoacetic acid, which is then eliminated and
decarboxylated to obtain cyclohexene acetonitrile, and finally hydrogenated to
obtain cyclohexene ethylamine[ 3399-73-3] Cyclohexene ethylamine is an
intermediate for drugs such as Temalun and Alcatraz.
